The reaction is:

N2(g)+3H2(g)⇌2NH3(g)N_2(g) + 3H_2(g) \rightleftharpoons 2NH_3(g)N2​(g)+3H2​(g)⇌2NH3​(g)

For ammonia synthesis, the reaction is exothermic:

ΔH<0\Delta H < 0ΔH<0

We are asked how the % yield of ammonia vs time changes when the reaction is conducted at the same pressure PPP but at a higher temperature T2T_2T2​, where T2>T1T_2 > T_1T2​>T1​.


  1. Effect of temperature on equilibrium yield
