As the P.D. between 4 Ω\Omega Ω and 3 Ω\Omega Ω (in parallel), are the same,

4 × 1 amp = 3 × i1 ⇒i1=43A \Rightarrow {i_1} = {4 \over 3}A⇒i1​=34​A

Total resistance of 4 Ω\Omega Ω and 3 Ω\Omega Ω = 12/7 Ω\Omega Ω.
