From the equation, 1 mole of Na produces 1 mole of NaOH.

  1. Calculate moles of sodium used

Given mass of sodium = 0.69 g0.69\,\text{g}0.69g

Molar mass of sodium = 23 g mol−123\,\text{g mol}^{-1}23g mol−1

n(Na)=0.6923=0.03 moln(\text{Na}) = \frac{0.69}{23} = 0.03\,\text{mol}n(Na)=230.69​=0.03mol

Therefore,

n(NaOH)=0.03 moln(\text{NaOH}) = 0.03\,\text{mol}n(NaOH)=0.03mol

  1. Neutralisation reaction with HCl
