For an adiabatic process,

PVγP{V^\gamma }PVγ = constant …(i)

According to ideal gas equation

PV=nRT⇒P=nRTV{\rm{PV = nRT }} \Rightarrow P = {{nRT} \over V}PV=nRT⇒P=VnRT​

Putting value of P in (i), we get

nRTVVγ{{nRT} \over V}{V^\gamma }VnRT​Vγ = constant; ∴\therefore∴ TVγ−1T{V^{\gamma - 1}}TVγ−1 = constant

Again from the ideal gas equation

V=nRTPV = {{nRT} \over P}V=PnRT​

Putting value of V in (i), we get
