Correct answer: 8

  1. Excess pressure in a soap bubble

For a soap bubble, the excess pressure is ΔP=4TR\Delta P = \frac{4T}{R}ΔP=R4T where TTT is surface tension and RRR is the radius of the bubble.

  1. Given condition

Let bubble A have radius RAR_ARA and bubble B have radius RBR_BRB.

Given: ΔPA=12ΔPB\Delta P_A = \frac{1}{2}\Delta P_BΔPA=21ΔPB

Using the formula: 4TRA=12⋅4TRB\frac{4T}{R_A} = \frac{1}{2}\cdot \frac{4T}{R_B}RA4T=21⋅RB4T

Cancel 4T4T4T: 1RA=12RB\frac{1}{R_A} = \frac{1}{2R_B}RA1=2RB1

So, RA=2RBR_A = 2R_BRA=2RB

  1. Relate volume of bubbles

Volume of a sphere is V=43πR3V = \frac{4}{3}\pi R^3V=34πR3

Hence, VAVB=(RARB)3=23=8\frac{V_A}{V_B} = \left(\frac{R_A}{R_B}\right)^3 = 2^3 = 8VBVA=(RBRA)3=23=8

Therefore, VA=8VBV_A = 8V_BVA=8VB

So, the value of nnn is: 8\boxed{8}8
