    The speed of an electromagnetic wave in a medium is v=cμrεrv = \frac{c}{\sqrt{\mu_r \varepsilon_r}}v=μr​εr​​c​ where:

    • c=3×108 m/sc = 3 \times 10^8\ \text{m/s}c=3×108 m/s
    • μr=2\mu_r = 2μr​=2
    • εr=2\varepsilon_r = 2εr​=2
  2. Substitute the given values

    v=3×1082⋅2v = \frac{3 \times 10^8}{\sqrt{2 \cdot 2}}v=2⋅2​3×108​

    v=3×1084=3×1082v = \frac{3 \times 10^8}{\sqrt{4}} = \frac{3 \times 10^8}{2}v=4​3×108​=23×108​
