    According to the statement, Conductivity (S)∝A cl\text{Conductivity }(S) \propto \frac{A\,c}{l}Conductivity (S)∝lAc​ where:

    • lll = length, unit mmm

    So, S=kAclS = k\frac{Ac}{l}S=klAc​ where kkk is the proportionality constant.

  2. Find the unit of the proportionality constant

    Rearranging, k=S⋅lAck = S\cdot \frac{l}{Ac}k=S⋅Acl​

    Substitute units: [k]=S⋅m(m2)(mol m−3)[k] = S\cdot \frac{m}{(m^2)(\text{mol }m^{-3})}[k]=S⋅(m2)(mol m−3)m​
