    The dicobalt octacarbonyl complex exists in the common bridged form with:

    • one Co−CoCo-CoCo−Co bond
    • two bridging COCOCO ligands
    • remaining COCOCO ligands as terminal
  2. Count the number of terminal COCOCO ligands

    Total carbonyl ligands =8= 8=8

    Bridging carbonyl ligands =2= 2=2
